The 12 gauge 3" steel round

Similar 12 gauge 3 inch rounds carrying the 1 3/8oz have been mostly forgotten these days. With retailers and manufacturers pushing us to buy faster and faster velocity rounds the payloads found in most 3 inch steel magnums shrunk to the 1 1/4oz, some even to 1 1/8oz. Other manufacturers reduced our pellet counts to give themselves a velocity marketing edge while sacrificing our actual knockdown power. The Pellets! This is OUR FAVORITE steel shotshell round. At 1250 FPS this thing throws amazing patterns at 40 yards and packs 324 #5 pellets!! Or how bout 428 #6s!!!!!

Why Choose Flight Day Ammo's Zinc-Plated Steel Rounds?

  • Heavy payloads, higher pellet counts, denser patterns and slower velocities and just as he says on the back of the box "these are the best patterning, smoothest shooting and most reliable steel shotshell rounds in the USA"

  • Hand load quality materials in every round.

  •  Maximum payload in every round. This means higher pellet counts, denser patters and more dead birds.

  • Full length premium wad encasing all of the pellets in every round. This protects the shot pellets from your barrel and protects your barrel from the shot pellets, producing more consistent patters on every shot.

  • Flight Day Ammo's zinc-plated steel consists of highly polished and nearly perfect spheres, which are softened by an annealing process and refined to surpass the industry standards.

  • Reliable powders and primers to deliver consistent velocities and the softest possible recoil shot after shot.

*Pellet counts are given for estimates. The actual number of pellets in each round will vary slightly
